Drinking Is Believing is a reference to the concept of "Drinking the Kool Aid."

At drinkingisbelieving.com, we're going to highlight some of the theories and ideas brought to light by Kool-Aid drinkers around the world. We'll cover topics such as the real estate bubble, financial and stock market bubble, or the global asset bubble. There have been many economists over the years that repeatedly warn that there is no such thing as a free lunch, indicating that the party has to end somewhere. The world has seemingly been taking part in one giant Ponzi scheme, which unfortunately can't last forever. Sometime in the next decade our world may change significantly; cash may be king again, saving may be richly rewarded, and credit as we've known it for the past decade (or past four) may never be the same. Then again, maybe we're completely wrong and life as we know it will continue to tick just like it always has before!

At drinkingisbelieving.com, we hope to shed light on some of these topics and provide a little entertainment in the process. We will be supplying you with interesting articles, and we even have some custom designed T-shirts (all in good humor of course) that we think you'll appreciate.

"Drinking Is Believing" is not just another RE/econ blog. There are many excellent real estate bubble blogs and economic blogs (links coming soon), which are written and maintained by very clever and talented authors. We're not trying to take readers away from those excellent sites. Instead, we try to make regular concise posts to highlight a particular article that we find interesting and relevant to you, our reader. On our main page, there are dynamic links both on the left and right side to real time news related to financial markets, the economy, real estate, and blogs. We would LOVE to use the Kool-Aid man logo or its likeness on our site, however Kool-Aid is owned by Kraft foods, not us, and we don't want to infringe on any copyrights. We have made several attempts to contact them regarding licensing, however as of yet we have not received a response. Until then, we'll have to make do with what we can.
